Glucksman gallery wedding-Cork 2

Glucksman gallery wedding-Cork

Is there anything more spectacular than an Autumn wedding surrounded by art, books and Jazz music? Imagine the sounds, the sights and the colours… well, you don’t have to imagine because I was privileged to capture every stylish detail through my lens.

Rebecca and Barry are the coolest couple who met at college and they travelled back there to have their Cork wedding ceremony in the awesome Lewis Glucksman Gallery at UCC. Rebecca studied History of Art, so this gallery had some of her best memories of college…along with Barry of course! It made for a perfect fine art wedding.

The gallery was transformed by the stunningly beautiful floral decorations of a flower genius Jill Wild. It felt as though she brought the beauty of Autumn inside for us. She also added incredible personal touches. Rebecca is from South Africa, so Jill added the country’s national flower, Proteas, to the bouquets.

As for the bride, I loved her boho-inspired bridal look on the day. I met her that morning getting ready in unicorn pyjamas and knew immediately that it was going to be a fun day.

Then I saw her in her dress… those wavy locks of hair flowing, her embroidered tulle dress with that hint of peach. Wow! Barry didn’t disappoint either of course with his Navy checked Marc Darcy suit. All of the colours complimented so well and made my job super easy.

The couple and I decided to do a ‘first look’ before their ceremony which gave us some sweet moments to take portraits and to get their reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. I love doing this, especially for Autumn and Winter dates, when we lose light earlier in the day. It just adds another dimension to the day, and I think adds to the anticipation of the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was very creative and family orientated with Barry’s mum singing and Rebecca’s dad playing the guitar for the guests. Oh yes and let’s not forget the Jazz! Rebecca and Barry wanted music to be important on their wedding day and as it was the International Jazz Festival in Cork, they had two bands play on the day including a 9-piece brass band! The buzz of having live jazz music was phenomenal.

The energy of the whole day was extraordinary and became even more magical when we got some exquisite Autumn light outside right after their vows. We went out into the gardens and captured the bride and groom portraits before travelling to the reception at the luxurious wedding venue, Fota Island.

The details at Fota Island were just as, if not more, amazing than at their ceremony. A big shout out to Sandra, wedding coordinator and founder at  'To Have & To Hold' for pulling everything together. Again, the flowers looked gorgeous on the tables with their geometric stands surrounded by candles. It felt very intimate and warm.

Rebecca and Barry got pretty crafty with their table plan too. They enlisted some friends to build bookshelves for them as each table represented a different book that was important to them. It was another great personal touch!

I loved how this amazing couple made every detail about them and their connection to each other, as well as their family. Everything was thoughtful, genuine and beautiful as well as being fun and creating a true party vibe. This is my kind of wedding!

Innish Beg estate wedding 3

Innish Beg estate wedding

When days are sunny...

Clare and Brendan tied the knot in one of the most beautiful parts in of Ireland. Their summer wedding took a place in Inish beg estate, Baltimore.

It was quite an unusual day, as the temperatures were reaching 30 degrees Celsius! Here in Ireland, we are not very used to such heat!  However, no one was complaining!

From the morning to the evening this West Cork wedding was filled with unbelievably positive vibes and love was definitely in the air!

I have to compliment the wedding planner Ennie who did a really good job and made sure the whole event went on perfectly from the super romantic garden ceremony to the reception at the estate.

This wedding was decorated with absolutely amazing flower arrangments created by the best wedding florist in Ireland Jill Wild!

If you are looking for a wedding floral ideas, this wedding post is a great summer wedding decor inspiration!

What can I say... It was a magical day with intimate humanist ceremony, followed by the great party and tasty dinner! Oh yes! And not to forger hilarious bridesmaid speech!

I am definitely grateful to have been a part of this beautiful day!

Dear Clare and Brendan, thank you so much for your kindest words!

"Egle, these are SO AMAZING!!! I feel like the whole day was a dream- I wish I could enjoy it all over again.

Thank you so much for being so amazing. I can’t wait for the full wedding image gallery.

I’ve been watching your Insta posts too and getting little sneak peeks there which has been so fun! "

Warmly,
Clare & Brendan

Romantic Parisian Adventure/ anniversary photo session

From Paris with love!

Parisian adventure / romantic anniversary photoshoot

If you love adventure and travel, this post might give you a great idea to something you'd like to consider for your own wedding anniversary!

Jacqueline & John loves to travel the world so they both decided to mark their first wedding anniversary and have a romantic photo session in Paris! When Jackie got in contact and asked me to come with them and capture some beautiful memories, I was super excited! What made this trip even more exciting, was that on the day of my arrival  France won the World Cup! It was a once in a lifetime experience and such a coincidence to be there on that day! Oh My! It was some celebration!

Paris is is the place where time is stopping even though the city pulsates in its own endless rhythm. Streets that are forever filled with curious tourists still defuses special lightness. You can easily get lost in the small lanes and beautiful squares. Anywhere you go, you can find a place that is so picturesque! Its an ideal city for city breaks, elopements and photo sessions.

Mornings in Paris are filled with a scent of croissants and fresh coffee. Somehow this big and busy city still feels so cosy and familiar... I love Paris and was very happy to photograph a destination session there. We started our French adventure early in the morning, while the atmosphere at a hotel room was still full of romantic touches and intimacy. We went to explore this "city of love" and spent all day wandering around the most amazing museums, parks, coffee places. One of the most amazing was Cafe De Lapaix

In the evening when heat ( it was +35c) went down, Jacqueline changed her outfit and we went to see Eiffel tower sparkle at night! It lights up just as the sun is setting, and sparkles every hour for 5 minutes up to 1 am. This was the conclusion of our trip. We said our goodbyes to this magical city and left home with hope to come back there soon.

I'm sure  J&J enjoyed every moment of their Parisian adventure! So did I!

Best wedding moments 2017

I know, I know, I'm delaying, but sure its only February :)

It took me so long to go through my 2017 portfolio and choose images for this slideshow. Believe me, it was so not easy to make this selection of slightly over 200 images out of thousands that would showcase all the awesomeness of my couples!  Last wedding season was simply magic!  Oh my, I was blessed to meet so many beautiful sous and be a part of one of the best days of their lives! Thanks again to all my brilliant couples, for all the support and trust. For sharing their intimate moments and inviting me to their families. Your love and appreciation made my passion to document peoples lives and emotions even stronger. Your genuine and fun attitude makes my job feel more like a holiday! I wish you all enjoy every moment of your marriage!

I'm also sending a huge thanks to many super talented wedding professionals that I met last year and got to work with.

Huge thanks to my dear friends, colleagues, teachers, my super patient man and full of funny beans kids. I love you all and I am grateful to have you in my life...

I only have a couple of dates left for 2018 and my 2019 started to fill fast. Let’s connect and have a great fun on your wedding adventure!

Forever Yours

From the first Skype chat with Keifer and Riley I knew we will get along together very well. We had so much fun chatting about their elopement to Ireland and planning photo session locations. Keifer is the warmest person I’ve ever met!  Everyone were so relaxed and easy going . ..

Keifer & Riley chose Dingle for their Irish elopement. Annie from "ElopeTo Ireland" Made sure that all is planed and will go sleek. Its not that easy to plan a wedding from abroad, so having a wedding planer makes it a lot easier. They couldn't choose a better place for the ceremony. Dingle Peninsula has this raw, wild feeling that perfectly reflects Irish soul.

I’m forever grateful for the trust and patience, that Im feeling from my couples... This really makes my work super exciting and personal.

After I’ve sent finishes image gallery to Keifer & Riley I've received this beautiful testimonial. There is nothing more special than trust and appreciation from the couple that you worked together with in capturing special moments of their wedding. Work that you’ve put so much heart into…

“This was the best experience we’ve ever had. It wasn’t like having a stranger with us on this special day, we had someone that was family. Egle made this such a wonderful, fun, and exciting time. We made jokes and laughed together throughout the entire day. What could have been a tiring and draining experience was eclipsed with more fun than I could have ever thought. Not only was she just the coolest person to spend our wedding day with, she also took some of the most breath taking pictures. We still get compliments on how she captured us in every picture. It’s hard to find people who just click but Egle made everything seamless. I just wish I knew more people that were eloping to Ireland so I could recommend her more. When my Wife and I venture back to the island I hope that we can meet up again for another pint. We cannot thank you enough for timeless memories you captured for us.

From both Riley and Myself Thank you again for everything you did for us on our special day.”

Ballymaloe Cookery School Engagement Session 5

Ballymaloe Cookery School Engagement Session

Shaun & Trisha Love Story

Shaun and Trisha decided to have an engagement photo shoot before their wedding. It wasn't hard to pick perfect location , as they are living just a couple of miles away from Ballymaloe House, cookery school   . The minute we walked through the little wooden gate it was obvious that we made a perfect choice for shoot location as there are so many beautiful spots and hidden corners. We spent couple of hours chatting about exiting wedding plans and giggling of all the embarrassment being in front of a camera :)

I wont get tired to recommend such photo sessions to all couples, but must of all to those who need that little boost of confidence and some guidance in posing. All my couples who have booked pre wedding photoshoots would always say that it was truly fun experience, it gave them a great understanding on how  "not to pose" and helped them to relax during portrait sessions on their Big Day.

I'd love to invite you and have a walk together with Shaun & Trisha to a beautiful gardens at one of the most amazing places in Cork.

Kate & Zac Destination Adventure

I will never stop repeating one phrase : " I have the most exiting profession in the world" ! I really mean it! Wedding photography led me to the most beautiful places. How exciting it is to meet so many different and awesome people, to hear their love stories and witness that spark in her eyes when he touches her hand...

Pre wedding photo session is a great way to learn about each other and to "tight the knot" with your photographer. The better your photographer knows you the easier is to tell your story in the most intimate way.  Nothing can beat such an amazing experience! It helps to create that bond and builds up the trust between couple and "camera lady" :)

I always recommend Pre wedding photoshoot to my couples, we always have  great fun!
